| Africussion, after nearly a decade drumming together, bring the thrill of African drumming and more than just a splash of colour to any event. | ||
| The rhythms are mainly traditional West African although those very traditions also dictate that the rhythms are continually evolving - a process adopted by Africussion in orchestrating their performance. |

| Contemporary pieces are also played, some West African, others composed in the Westcountry | ||
| Africussion perform at a wide variety of events, from local festivals to private functions and from stage performances to an encouraging beat drummed ‘al fresco’ at the Plymouth Marathon. We also run our long-standing Drum Workshops at the SoundHouse pretty much every Wednesday through the year, although we do have a break in August. | ||

Africussion will also facilitate workshops and perform interactively with an audience – bringing drums, percussion, shakers and boomwhackers for people to play. | |

| The Africussion Open Evening drumming workshops are held on the First Wednesday of every month at The Soundhouse from 8pm ‘til 10.30pm. Every other Wednesday is drumming for 'improvers' (i.e. all of us!) who want to learn more rhythms in greater depth. 7-9pm | ||
